Nobody knows what it's like to hear the words, or in my case hear Charlie Brown's teacher mumble the words, YOU HAVE CANCER. 😰😤😓😫🙃😳. In an instant you go thru a tumult of emotions all at once. It's sickening, it's fearful, it's outrageous, it can't be and crazy. This can't be happening to me, right?? This report is wrong - how could I have it? What did I do? (Insert your own emotions here). . I think we all question, "Why Me?" . I quickly realized the answer to that question didn't matter. My first thought was of my daughter Bella, she had just turned 7. These were the exact words in my head, "NOBODY IS TAKING ME AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER UNTIL IM GDAMN GOOD AND READY!" 💥 . It wasn't that simple - but it set forth a determination to kick cancer's ass. I didn't look Fear in the face because I refuse to give it life - it didn't have a face. It didn't exist. I was Fear-less because I chose to have faith and trust the journey and my medical team. . FOUR YEARS LATER - I can finally answer that question, Why Me? This quote - "You Have Been Assigned This Mountain to Show Others IT CAN BE MOVED" represents my reason. If I can give a person strength and hope by showing them I've been through the worst, kicked ass and survived this roller coaster (as others showed me!) then it was worth it. . I can't say it's been all easy PEASY but I can show you that f you take it one day at a time and stay focused on doing all that you can, you will one day be on the other side of that cancer mountain - or you will have removed it completely. NEVER GIVE UP - cry, kick, scream, whatever. Just do what ya gotta do to get through it.
