The reality of cancer is you’re never really “done” with it. I love my medical team and I love my hospital #MemorialSloanKettering but it takes love, strength, prayers and some good juju to squash the anticipation of a negative follow up visit with any of your doctors, scans and tests. . I choose #LoveOvwrFear while walking in y purpose of being Ali e and healthy and spreading awareness. My passion for health and fitness continues to allow me to bring good health to so many others. . I was given the chance to fight cancer and not only survive but thrive. I refuse to squander the chance to live a full life while worrying about what may or may not come. That doesn’t imply o don’t have my doubts some days. Sometimes you wonder why something hurts or if a cold is just a cold - but I continue to have #FaithOverFear and keep moving forward. Life is too short to do otherwise. . 1:8 women will be diagnosed with #breastcancer and that means a woman in the US is diagnosed EVERY TWO MINUTES. If you want that chance to #SurviveAndThrive then you better #CheckYourself and #getChecked. Schedule not only your #Mammogram but a sonogram too. . I don’t want anyone to go through it but if you do I pray it’s early and with me you’ll never have to go it alone. . #4YearSurvivor #BreastCancerAwareness #PinkRibbon #BCaStrength #breastcancersurvivor

4 yeas ago today I finally shaved what little was left of my hair. Chemo is scary because your hair falls out but as soon as it happens you realize, no matter how much it sucjs, it’s no longer a big deal. It’s just hair. #ipromise#breastcancerawareness #breastcancer #cancer #Survivor #fuckcancer #fearlessvixenfitness #cancerVixen #PrincessWarrior #Mastectomy #pinkRibbon #Pinktober

“You beat cancer by HOW you live, WHY you live & in the manner in which you live.” #StuartScott I choose LOVE & GRATITUDE and surrounding myself with people who will take me higher. Just like my Yoga family who was there for me every step of the way during my #CancerJourney. I can’t believe I left them for so long but I’m so happy to be back on my mat at the best hot yoga studio on the island! . This month’s challenge is 30 days of Yoga π. It happens to coincide with #BreastCancerAwareness month which fuels my desire to continue to educate women on facts and give them the courage they need to get screened. . I know it’s scary, but we are on day 3 of October and I’ve already had two friends tell me they found lumps. I pray that it’s nothing for both of them (send prayers please) but I’m very happy they were courageous enough to do something about it!! Too many women get scared. Don’t wait!! Early detection gives you the chance to do something about it and then go live a full life. I’m a survivor. DM 6.18.13 with recon. 8 rounds ACT chemo as a preventative measure. No rads. Final surgery 12.31.13. I’m so happy to say that almost 4.5 years have passed since I found my lump. Today I have a big smile on my face because #EveryDayIsAGift and that I continue to #ChooseLove even in this scary and crazy time. .
