What did 2016 teach me? Although I am well aware that Every Day is a Gift I still take so many things for granted. If there is one resolution I will make in 2017 it will be to reconnect with all my friends and family and BE PRESENT in their lives. I've seen so much loss this month. Not just through death. I've seen so much change in the last month that I keep telling myself that there's a lesson wrapped up in this somewhere. People come and go in our lives all the time. Unfortunately sometimes the people who leave us are the ones we took for granted would always be around. The one thing that will never change is my heart and soul's ability to see the good in people, that a smile can make someone's day and that love is the answer. Stay Classy, Sassy & a Little Bit Bad-Assy π . The best part of my coaching journey with Beachbody are the friendships I made. This beauty Jaime @jaime_keiser is my "twin" and she lives all of 20 minutes from me!! She is kind, caring and beautiful inside and out. KEEP ON CLIMBING!!! . . "Every mountain too is within reach if you just keep climbing." - Barry Finlay . I've had some minor setbacks and I've let a few obstacles get in my way. But I've squashed those obstacles and got outta my own damn way!! This smile is because I am five days away from finishing my first round of Core de Force!!!! . Because I didn't take my nutrition seriously I didn't think I was making strides with my progress but I did!! My abs hurt tonight during power sculpt (yay for feeling them in there!) and I can see that my shoulders are stronger (punches and planks BOOM!) I'm not letting a scale or a measuring tape measure my progress this time. I feel STRONG, EMPOWERED & that I am finally free from the ties that bound me from moving forward. Mohammad Ali . . . I got back on my mat for hot batman vinyasa this morning. It was a fantastic class taught by Jimmy Barkan himself. My favorite thing he said this morning was "don't look at the advanced people". They're just in a different place and the trade off isn't worth it. Comparison truly is the thief of joy. . . . Yoga wiped me out tho these days. I totally hate that it does. I want my freakin energy back. HOWEVER I did not let that stop me from doing today's Core de Force workout MMA Speed 2.0. Its on the schedule and I'm determined to see this program through. It will take me nearly 40 days instead of 30 but so be it. I had some days that knocked me down. . . My nutrition is ON POINT - for me - I snitched only 2 of Bella's m&ms, drank my water, ate my protein, veggies and fruits. Don't ask me the appeal of cheese popcorn and wine for dinner but that was my preference π on days that I didn't care to make good choices. . I'm in this full force and effect. I am so tired of being knocked down by obstacles - I am in for the win!!
