One year ago I had the honor to work with Jen @PhotoChick75 and do this amazing #BreastCancer #Survivor photo shoot. I was excited and nervous. She had these fantastic ideas on how to share my story of survival. Only 11 months earlier I discovered the lump in my left breast. A discovery that was the scariest moment of my life. But it turned out to be the luckiest moment of my life. I found it early. (Not quite early enough to avoid chemo). It seemed larger than life to me: in reality it was quite small. It altered the course of my life and while I never be happy I had cancer I am happy at what it taught me, the strength I discovered I had and how much it brought people together. I'm very proud of these strong, powerful and passionate photos. I'm grateful to Jen and everyone she introduced me to last year. They're all the most generous and nicest people. They made me feel beautiful. It wasn't an easy accomplishment after chemo and a couple of surgeries. Internally as a survivor I was emotionally tortured and physically altered. I had been through Heaven, Hell and back again. What seemed forever was for such a short time. In less than a year I was proudly standing in this pic ready to tell anyone who is apart of the fight to never ever give up!! You're a survivor the moment you start fighting. The one thing I refuse to do is to back down from the fight. I will never take off my gloves. I refuse to be a victim of any part of this cancer story. I was and am not a victim. I am a Fearless Vixen. #victim2vixen ๐ #iGotThis ๐SurviveandThrive . #photofy @photofyapp
