Good morning ☀️ . It's my first officially retired Saturday. I slept in til 7 (I know I'm such a rebel lol!) and there's no pressure to be on the road in a bit. . As I drink my coffee (cawfee, I'm from NY) I am thinking about how much I am going to miss everyone today. . Have coffee with me ☕️ Cheers

Yesterday was a rotten day mentally. I know all the good advice. I've been through "so much" I learned to respect the process but some days and some times I just plain ole sucks. Do you get me!!?!? . But everyday is a new day. Everyday is a chance. Every day is a freakin gift. Get up. Dress up. Show up. . Today I went in to kickass like a total #badass. What a difference a day makes 💥

Rock Bottom has Built Way More Champions
Last night I hit rock bottom with my poor eating habits. We are so quick to think we understand how people eat simply by looking at them. Everyday I just want to eat like a second grader. For most of my years I could get away with it with some extra activity. The last six months, plus, have been a struggle. Whether it's my age, the gift of chemo that keeps giving, the tamoxifen my metabolism seems to have shut down.
I woke up sick. NOTE TO SELF: don't keep Oreos in the house, even if it's for Babygirl. I always eat more than she does. I also made a yummy pasta dish with creamy marscapone cheese. Hey, it has spinach in it!! :P Doesn't that count for something?
TODAY I will embark on another 21 Day journey. It's more like panic mode. We leave for Cancun in 23 days provided we get the passports straightened out (don't ask, that's a whole other story). I haven't been consistent with my eating and drinking habits. I'm a poor leader when it comes to my challenge groups. But I am comforted knowing that we all struggle and that's why we love doing it together.
My Girls are soaring!! They are getting great results and I feel like a proud Mamma!! So today I am not going to let them down or myself down.

I want to know how far I push myself in 21 days... here we go

One of the many friends I made while teaching in Brooklyn. There are so many pictures but I think this one represents the strength and determination and dedication of all who've crossed my path through the years. . Yesterday was a wonderful day but a very sad one. It's so hard to say goodbye to people who are your family. They've been through all of my ups and downs of my life. I won't regret leaving the club. I just hated leaving my friends the most. . They have been so incredibly generous through the years and yesterday they went above and beyond. I always felt like I never gave them enough. I still wish I could give more but I now look forward to just social visits and watching their journeys from here. #PeaceOutBrooklyn #ThankYou

Today I will teach my step and kickboxing classes for the very last time. I am so overwhelmed by emotion just thinking about saying goodbye after 15 years at this location. . After 18 years it's time to retire though. This was by far one of the most difficult decisions to make. It's time though. I can't express my love for teaching and for all the people whom have crossed my path over the years. . "How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard." (Winnie the Pooh). How lucky am I to have found a passion in life and be able to make it part of my life? . Lots of pictures. Lots of love. Lots of tears. Well I'm trying not to cry. Smile because it happened 💕

Friday Festivities
Rumberry Shakeology
- 1 scoop Chocolate Vegan Shakeology
- 4 oz Fresh Organic Blackberries
- 4 oz Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 8 oz Spring Water
- 1 tsp Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, melted
- 1/4 tsp Rum Extract
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
When do I drink my Shakeo?
I drink it after or between workouts. Today I am doing two. I took an unscheduled rest day yesterday by listening to my body. (Slept for 8 hours too, I was tired!). Today I did Tabata Strength and I'm about to push play on Friday Fight, Round 1. WOOT! I feel like a badass because I know I'm going to make my fat CRY when I sweat!
I drink Shakeology to refuel. Years ago I was diagnosed with exercised-induced hypoglycemia. What in the heck does that mean? It means that my blood sugar drops below normal levels when I workout. The first time I was given a shakeology sample my body recovered within 30 minutes. That meant I wasn't cold, I wasn't blue, I wasn't shaking and my energy returned!! HOOYAH! These days it helps me refuel between workouts or replenish after I'm done. Matter of fact I might save a little bit of this one if I can stop myself from drinking it! :D

#NoExcuses . Today was full of ambition. But I didn't push play until 11am and only managed a 10 min ab series. I lied to myself and said I would do cardio after. Pfft!! The good news is I'm stronger than I was the first time I tried this series three months ago!!!! . I finally stopped procrastinating at 7:30. #InsanityMax30 #SweatIntervals which is my least favorite. (This here is a frigging clue as to my procrastination.) I did it. I do not max out! I did go FULL OUT FULLY MODIFIED. . When it's an off day I still look at the upswing. ✔️got it done ✔️stronger than ever✔️I stopped making excuses ✔️I can face myself in the mirror and not trash myself for skipping the schedule. . I would say sure skip a day but I took two days off for the weekend, ate my way through it and I'm leaving for Cancun in 28 days!!! #bikiniseason #sweatisfatcrying #focus #gotime #needmymouthsewnshut #damnhungerpangs #whydoeschocolatehavetotastesogood????? . #breastcancerawareness #photofy @photofyapp
Chilean Sea Bass for Lunch? Yes Please!
Wednesday March 18
28 Days til Cancun!
I'm not much of a cook. I happen to love cooking for large dinner parties but other than that nobody around here eats. So I keep it simple (KISS). Quality ingredients and my Breville Convection oven make life super easy to stay healthy, tasty and easy.
Chilean Sea Bass
8oz Wild Caught Chilean Sea Bass
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 clove Organic garlic, minced
Pink Himalayan Salt
Ground Black Pepper
Organic Lemon
1. Preheat 400F.
2. Line pan with Aluminum Foil (quick getaway here).
3. Place Sea Bass skin side down.
4. Drizzle oil on top and spread it over the fish with a spoon on all sides.
5. Salt & Pepper to taste.
6. Sprinkle minced garlic on top.
7. Cut lemon in half and drizzle over the fish.
8. Cook 8-10 minutes.
EAT! ENJOY!
I like it on a bed of arugula or with steamed broccoli or asparagus.

Sexy, Spicy, Sassy & Fiesty
Those four words are some of my favorite adjectives. I like to be at least one on any given occasion. Hey a girl should feel good about herself, right?
